Stationery & Invitations

In Tucson: Five listed, which is short — widen your search, and bear in mind this is one of the easier categories to buy from outside the region. What is genuinely local is the address problem. If you are marrying at a site out in the county — the wine country, Tubac, somewhere up the mountain — the mailing address a venue gives you and the directions guests actually need are frequently not the same thing, and cell coverage on those routes is unreliable enough that a phone may not rescue anyone. Put real written directions on an insert or a wedding website rather than trusting a map application to find it. If your guest list crosses the border, allow more time for international mail than the usual six to eight weeks, and weigh a finished invitation before you buy postage for all of them.

Bringing your own design to a commercial printer

These are commercial and trade printers, not wedding stationers. None of them designs an invitation suite, and none of them lists weddings as work they do — they are here because they will print a design you already own, usually well and usually for a fraction of a stationer's price. That makes them a real option if you have bought a template, hired a designer separately, or are printing menus, programs, table numbers and signage rather than the invitations themselves. Send a PDF and ask for a paper sample first: weight, finish and color vary far more between printers than price does.
