Bottles are heavy, guests flying home have to check them, and a case left in a car through a wine country afternoon is doing the wine no favors. If you go that way, arrange shipping rather than handing bottles out at the door. The welcome bag matters more than the favor in this region anyway, because your guests are driving unfamiliar roads between towns, often at night after a day of tasting.
