Orange County, California

Venue

In Orange County: Fourteen venues are listed, spread from inland Anaheim and Orange through Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach out to the Laguna Beach and Dana Point coast. The coast is where the paperwork gets real. Crystal Cove State Park runs its own special-event process: a $50 non-refundable application, a deposit equal to half the site fee, and site fees that range from roughly $125 to $250 an hour up to $3,000 for a full peak-season day — and amplified sound, including bands and microphones beyond a toast, is prohibited outright. Huntington Beach's own beach-wedding permit is a separate $110 application plus a $325 or $500 ceremony fee depending on guest count, due two weeks ahead with insurance a month out, and alcohol is banned on the beach and pier citywide. Orange County's own regional parks take applications 30 days out, or two weeks with an already-approved vendor, but publish no flat fee — call ahead rather than guess. None of this is a reason to avoid the coast; it is a reason to start the paperwork before you fall in love with a view.
