Ask your venue for its amplified-sound cutoff in writing before you book a band, and if you are on county park land, note that Santa Clara County Parks requires an amplified-music addendum at least three business days ahead, at no extra charge but as a step that is easy to miss. Outdoor sites also raise the power question: confirm what is available and who supplies a generator if it is not.
