Tampa Bay, Florida

Wedding Planner / Coordinator

In Tampa Bay: Twelve planners and coordinators are listed, in Tampa, Plant City, Clearwater and Parrish. The job to hand one here is the license, because Florida's rule runs opposite to what couples assume. The three-day waiting period applies only if at least one of you is a Florida resident: a couple flying in from out of state faces no wait at all and can apply and marry the same day, while the local couple is the one delayed. A premarital preparation course of not less than four hours fixes both halves at once — it waives the three-day delay and cuts the fee from $86 to $61. You may take it together or separately, and each clerk keeps its own list of registered providers. The fee is the same in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Manatee, so county shopping gains nothing. Hillsborough takes walk-ins, and its online Zoom issuance is not the fast route: the clerk's own page warns those appointments fill weeks in advance and sends anyone needing a license sooner to an office instead. Pinellas requires its eMarriage application to be completed before you walk in.
