Wedding Planner / Coordinator

In Atlanta: The most useful thing a local coordinator does here is handle counties that run the same errand in opposite ways. DeKalb is appointment only and wants the online application first. Cherokee is walk-in but stops same-day processing at 4:10 p.m. Gwinnett is walk-in. Coweta takes an application online and still requires you both to appear, first come, first served. The counter also closes before the office does — Cherokee at 4:10 p.m., and Cobb tells couples marrying that evening to arrive by 4:30 p.m. — so the published closing hour is not your deadline. Card payment is not uniform either: Cherokee adds four percent and Coweta adds five percent. Courthouse ceremonies vary just as much. Gwinnett Probate performs them free by reservation, Cherokee and Clayton do not perform them at all, and Cobb runs its ceremonies through Magistrate Court at fixed times. Beyond the paperwork, a coordinator here is buying back your drive time, because a metro this wide with a venue forty miles out is a timeline problem before it is anything else.
