On Tybee Island there are no helium balloons, no Chinese lanterns, no glass, no fires, and only real flower petals, never artificial. Those rules are enforced, and a send-off kit ordered online without checking them becomes a bag of things you cannot use. The squares carry their own version: cleanup and any damages are your responsibility under the permit, so anything thrown, dropped or released is something you or your coordinator picks up afterward. Confetti and glitter are a poor idea in both places. Budget $1 to $5 a guest, and remember that skipping favors entirely is a perfectly good decision.
