Buffalo & Western New York, New York

Cake & Desserts

In Buffalo & Western New York: Twelve bakeries and dessert vendors are listed, four in Buffalo and two in Tonawanda, with others in East Aurora, Corfu, and across the region. Western New York wedding cakes lean traditional — tiered buttercream is still the default at most tastings — but dessert tables, doughnut walls, and cookie spreads are increasingly common and can stretch the budget further. If your reception is outdoors in July or August, confirm that your baker's delivery plan accounts for heat and humidity; buttercream and fondant behave very differently at eighty-five degrees than they do in a climate-controlled hall. Budget roughly $5 to $11 per slice for a traditional cake.
