New York City, New York

Wedding Planner / Coordinator

In New York City: Twelve planners and coordinators are listed, three in Brooklyn, three in Manhattan, two in Morristown and the rest across Queens, Staten Island and northern New Jersey. Test a local one on the license clock. In New York the ceremony may not take place within 24 hours of the exact time the license was issued, the exact time and not the date, so a license collected at 3 p.m. Friday does not cover a 1 p.m. Saturday ceremony. A waiver is free, requested from the County Clerk in the borough that issued the license, and ordered by a judge. The license is $35 in New York City and the state publishes $40 at a town or city clerk outside it, and it runs 60 calendar days beginning the day after issuance. You must both attend the appointment together, in person or virtually, and the online application expires after 21 days. New Jersey inverts all of it: apply to the municipal registrar, bring one witness aged 18 or over to the application, pay $28, wait 72 hours from filing rather than from issuance, and use it within 30 days.
