Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Mobile Bar / Servers

In Pittsburgh: Zero dedicated bar services cleared the screen in this region. That is the honest number. The labeled block below the listings is retail outlets rather than bar vendors, useful only if you are supplying your own alcohol, and in practice most couples here will get their bar through the venue or the caterer. If you are marrying in a city park, there is a rule worth knowing: alcohol is not allowed in the parks unless permitted, but since early 2019 every shelter fee has included an alcohol permit with no separate payment. Selling alcohol is a different matter and still requires separate permitting, so a cash bar is not the same application as a hosted bar. Budget roughly $1,900 to $7,800 at this guest count, and settle the venue's bar policy on the first site visit rather than after signing.

Buying the beer, wine and spirits yourself

These are retail sources, not event services — nobody here staffs your bar. Where your venue allows it, buying the alcohol yourself and hiring a licensed bartender to serve it is usually the cheapest way to do this line. The rules vary by state, by county and by venue, so confirm what yours permits — and whether your setup needs its own permit — before you count on the saving.
