In Charleston: Treat this as a required line rather than a luxury. Peninsula parking is scarce and expensive enough to change how your guests behave, and a downtown venue with no shuttle means people circling, arriving late, or driving after a long reception. If your ceremony is downtown and your reception is not — or your venue is out on one of the islands — a shuttle from the hotel block is close to mandatory, and it is the cheapest insurance on this whole list. Budget $400-2,000. Confirm where a coach can actually turn and park, because several historic streets and some island sites cannot take one at all, and for a smaller wedding a couple of vans beat a coach on both cost and access.
