Knoxville & the Smokies, Tennessee

Stationery & Invitations

In Knoxville & the Smokies: Three (3) service stationery businesses in the region -- a genuinely thin market, and the retail print-shop alternatives below the listings are the honest backup for anyone bringing their own design and needing quality commercial output. That is a workable route: many couples build the invitation suite from an online template and take it to a commercial printer for stock, letterpress or foil, and this region has that capacity even where a dedicated wedding-stationery boutique does not exist. Send save-the-dates eight to ten months out, mail invitations six to eight weeks before, and weigh a finished invitation at the post office before you buy stamps for the whole run, because bulky, square or heavy invites cost more to mail than anyone expects and the difference is easier to eat once than a hundred times.

Bringing your own design to a commercial printer

These are commercial and trade printers, not wedding stationers. None of them designs an invitation suite, and none of them lists weddings as work they do — they are here because they will print a design you already own, usually well and usually for a fraction of a stationer's price. That makes them a real option if you have bought a template, hired a designer separately, or are printing menus, programs, table numbers and signage rather than the invitations themselves. Send a PDF and ask for a paper sample first: weight, finish and color vary far more between printers than price does.
