Salt Lake City, Utah
Favors & Gifts
In Salt Lake City: Two things to weigh locally. If your reception is a come-and-go open house, your favor count is not your dinner count, it is however many people walk through the door, which is a harder number to guess and an easy way to overspend at $1 to $5 per guest. Buy in a quantity you can stop buying, and accept that some go home with you. For guests flying in, the genuinely useful welcome-bag item is water: much of this region sits high, with Park City at 6,919 ft, and visitors feel it on the first day, on the dance floor, and again wherever they are drinking. Something local and edible beats a trinket, and skipping favors altogether is as reasonable a choice here as it is anywhere.
