Vermont & the White Mountains, Vermont

Stationery & Invitations

In Vermont & the White Mountains: Four stationery and invitation businesses are listed, in Barre, Berlin and Essex, plus one clearly labeled alternative below the listings that is a different kind of business rather than a stationer. Budget $400 to $2,500 for the suite and the day-of paper together. Four local options across this much ground means most couples here pair a local designer with an online printer, and that is a sensible outcome rather than a compromise. Two regional notes. Send save-the-dates earlier than the usual eight to ten months if your date is in foliage season, because your guests are booking lodging against leaf-season travelers and need the runway. And print directions and a parking instruction on the day-of paper rather than relying on a map link, because cell service fails on the valley and mountain roads leading to many of these venues and a guest who loses the route has no way to recover it.

Bringing your own design to a commercial printer

These are commercial and trade printers, not wedding stationers. None of them designs an invitation suite, and none of them lists weddings as work they do — they are here because they will print a design you already own, usually well and usually for a fraction of a stationer's price. That makes them a real option if you have bought a template, hired a designer separately, or are printing menus, programs, table numbers and signage rather than the invitations themselves. Send a PDF and ask for a paper sample first: weight, finish and color vary far more between printers than price does.
